Events in which CEPIA has participated
Since the launch of CEPIA until now, the advisors have been consulted on policies and strategies of relevance in the field of childhood and adolescence.
So far in 2025, CEPIA has participated for the first time, with two male advisors and one female advisor, in the 8th National Meeting of Children's and Adolescents' Participation of UNICEF Spain's Child-Friendly Cities. Under the slogan "The best choice is good protection," it was held in Bilbao, bringing together 180 girls and boys, aged 10 to 18, from 60 local participation groups across Spain. Over three days, participants were divided into working groups to address the topic of protection and violence against children: types of violence, resource mapping, designing activities related to protection, figures of trust, what safe and protective spaces should be like, and the situation of children on an international level.

Additionally, a Commission has been created to work on CEPIA's participation in the future 5th World Congress on Justice with Children to be held in Madrid in June 2025. The Steering Group met in person in Madrid for the first time with the Technical Secretariat to improve the functioning of CEPIA, and work will begin on the second phase of the implementation of the Barnahus model in Spain.
In 2024, advisors of CEPIA participated in the Common Protocol for Health Action against violence in childhood and adolescence led by the Ministry of Health, in the research conducted by Save The Children on sexual assaults in adolescence, in the online Conference “Youth as a Change Agent” organized by EAPN, in the I Conference of health-promoting schools, and in the event of Universal Children's Rights Day, which this year was held at the Caixa Forum in Madrid. Additionally, some, through a commission, participated by making proposals in the implementation of the Barnahus model in Spain and in the presentation of the results of the first phase of this implementation.
In 2023 CEPIA participated in drafting the protocol and framework for prevention, detection, and response to episodes of violence in protection centers, in the consultation to gather contributions in the development of the National Strategy for Children's Rights and Adolescents and in its presentation, at the Universal Children's Rights Day event and the European Meeting on Children's and Adolescents' Participation, which is explained in the following section.
And in 2022, some advisors of CEPIA participated in the consultation conducted in defining the axes and measures of the European Child Guarantee Action Plan and its presentation, in a consultation on the design of the Strategy for the Eradication of Violence against Children, and also in the event of the Universal Children's Rights Day, which is organized together with the Children's Platform, and that year was held at Espacio Larra.
