Strategic Plans

In our country, more than 8 million girls, boys, and adolescents live, accounting for 17% of the population. They are full subjects of rights to enjoy the here and now and, at the same time, are the future of our society. Since Spain ratified the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, there have been many advances in promoting, protecting, defending, and ensuring the rights of this essential part of our citizens. Hence, the National Strategy for the Rights of Children and Adolescents (2023-2030) has been promoted, establishing the vision of the country we want for 2030, with and for children, in which the set of rights is guaranteed and real and effective for all children and adolescents. It is not about formally guaranteeing all rights but achieving their access and enjoyment in full equality. The mission of this Strategy is to articulate the action of the entire State and Administrations around eight strategic areas and a series of goals to achieve by 2030, all of which are key to the full guarantee of the rights of children and adolescents.

Regarding the Strategy for the Eradication of Violence against Children and Adolescents it reflects the high level of commitment of all levels of the administration to ensure the fulfillment and exercise of the human rights of boys and girls to a life free from violence, enabling the development of their full potential and having a happy childhood and adolescence, in compliance with Organic Law 8/2021, of June 4, for the Comprehensive Protection of Children and Adolescents against Violence (LOPIVI). The Strategy covers the period 2023-2030 and contains five strategic areas, for each of which an objective is established, a series of action lines, as well as the most important measures and their respective goals to evaluate the impact. It aims to be the roadmap so that different administrations, entities, and actors work hand in hand to strengthen the work of preventing all forms of violence, improve detection and intervene early from a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach, make visible the violence against boys, girls, and adolescents to understand the magnitude of this problem, generate a culture of zero tolerance towards violence and good treatment, and promote the creation of environments that protect all children without any distinction.
