In-person meetings of CEPIA

The Assembly meetings, which are of an ordinary nature, are held once a month and are always online. At least once a year, a face-to-face meeting is planned.

In 2024, the III On-Site Meeting was held, which took place in Guadarrama (Madrid), on October 25, 26, and 27. During that meeting, among the many activities carried out, a round table managed by the CEPIA Motor Group was organized on “Child and Adolescent Participation in State Policies: Consult or Decide?” in which the Counselors were asking questions to the Minister of Youth and Childhood Sira Rego, the General Director of INJUVE Margarita Guerrero Calderón, the Head of Childhood, Volunteering, and Non-formal Education of the Youth Council of Spain Patricia Aramayo, the participation program coordinator at the Platform for Childhood Mabel Taravilla Herrera, and the head of local policies and participation of UNICEF Silvia Casanovas Abanco.

Previously, the Second In-Person CEPIA Meeting was held in Benicàssim, on October 13, 14, and 15, 2023. During this meeting, an evaluation of CEPIA's trajectory was conducted, following a participatory and dynamic methodology that was captured in a video. Within this meeting, the creation of five committees was ratified: Health, Education, Environment, Empowerment and Equality, and Communication, and the process of partial renewal of CEPIA members was described. This is a process scheduled every two years to replace the children and adolescents who, due to age or other reasons, stop being part of the Council.

And the First State Meeting, an in-person event, took place at the San Servando Hostel in Toledo on May 13, 14, and 15, 2022. In this meeting, the foundations were laid for the creation of the Council's Regulations, for the establishment of the Working Committees, and the composition of the Driving Group, which had been voted on by all CEPIA members, was made public.
